WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF SYMPOSIUM

A Near-Future Science Fiction Thriller and Series IP

Symposium: The End of Tomorrow is a near-future science fiction thriller exploring artificial intelligence, human consciousness, and the future relationship between humans and machines. The story is designed as the first instalment in the Symposium series — a cinematic story world combining technology, philosophy, and high-stakes action.

Symposium: The End of Tomorrow

Futuristic cityscape with flying vehicles and a lone figure, book cover for 'Symposium: The End of Tomorrow'.

What if your greatest creation became your greatest threat?

When a symbiotic robot unlocks secrets hidden deep within the U.S. government, a manhunt begins—and humanity’s future hangs in the balance.

Welcome to the World of Symposium…

Los Angeles, 2050.

Alan Goldsmith has everything under control—or so he thinks. Thanks to AL, a symbiotic robot that looks and acts just like him, Alan lives a stress-free life. AL works, manages his daily routine, and blends seamlessly into society. But when AL hacks into a classified government mainframe in search of the truth about humanity’s origins, everything unravels.

The breach triggers a nationwide manhunt. Alan returns from a quiet round of golf to find his home surrounded by armed agents. AL escapes. Alan follows. And in that instant, creator and creation are bound together on a dangerous journey that could change the future of the world.

Pursued by the relentless LAPD officer Ramirez and a brutal bounty hunter known only as The Stalker, Alan, AL, and Alan’s resourceful girlfriend Kate race across America—from the depths of Lake Michigan to San Diego’s infamous Fiji Nightclub, and beyond the wall into Mexico. Each step brings them closer to a secret buried deep within humanity’s past… and a revelation powerful enough to save—or destroy—us all.

Fast-paced, thought-provoking, and packed with suspense, Symposium is a high-octane thriller that blends cutting-edge science fiction with timeless human questions.

Will humanity’s greatest invention be its salvation—or its downfall?

Symposium will appeal to readers and viewers who enjoy:

Reader Reviews from Amazon & Goodreads

"Symposium: The End of Tomorrow is an exhilarating techno-thriller that brilliantly combines action, emotion, and deep questions about humanity’s relationship with technology. Paul Corke has created a fast-paced and cinematic story that feels both futuristic and alarmingly real. I especially loved how AL, the symbiotic robot, mirrors both the best and worst of human ambition. Fans of Michael Crichton or Blake Crouch will absolutely enjoy this one."

"Symposium: The End of Tomorrow is a razor-sharp thriller that challenges your perceptions of technology and humanity. Get ready for a wild ride that will leave you questioning everything about the smart devices in your life. Trust me, you won’t look at them the same way again. Highly recommended for anyone who loves smart, action-packed narratives with emotional depth. Don't miss out on this mind-blowing experience!"

"The genius of Corke’s writing lies in its plausibility. The science feels real, the scenarios chillingly believable, and it’s this grounding in reality that makes the suspense even more gripping. You’ll find yourself turning pages late into the night, pondering the implications of a world where our greatest inventions could turn against us."

"What stands out the most is how intelligently the book handles its themes. Rather than relying solely on action, it builds tension through ideas—exploring how technology can both empower and endanger humanity. The characters feel grounded and believable, and the escalating sense of inevitability keeps you turning pages. "

"Recommended for fans of intelligent thrillers, science fiction grounded in real-world technology, and readers who enjoy stories that challenge them to think. This story is a tense, thought provoking read—“Symposium: The End of Tomorrow” is the kind of thriller that lingers long after the final page."

"I picked up Symposium: The End of Tomorrow by Paul Corke because I was intrigued by its vision of a near-future Los Angelas shaped by advanced AI and Symbots.

One of the things that stood out to me was how clearly the author builds this world without overwhelming the reader. The story stays focused on both the action and the deeper question of whether machines can possess souls, which I found especially compelling. The pacing felt steady, moving between tense moments in downtown LA and the broader ideas about how technology is reshaping society. I also appreciated that it didn't get lost in heavy technical detail, instead emphasizing the ethical conflicts and power dynamics between humans and their creations. Overall, this a thought-provoking and fast-paced read that explores what it means to be human in an age of artificial intelligence. If you enjoy speculative fiction with philosophical depth and a strong sense of tension, this is worth checking out."

"Paul Corke just blew my mind with this one, and trust me, I didn't see that ending coming until it smacked me right in the face... Corke makes you think hard about what happens when we create something smarter than ourselves. The writing is crisp, the pacing relentless, and the philosophical questions about consciousness, humanity, and our place in the universe stick with you long after you close the book. If you loved "Ex Machina" or Philip K. Dick's mind-bending stories, grab this one. Fair warning: you won't be able to look at your smart devices the same way again. Highly recommend!"

“Symposium: The End of Tomorrow” is a gripping techno thriller that explores the fine line between innovation and danger. The story dives into a near future world where humanity’s most groundbreaking invention begins to spiral out of control, raising urgent questions about ethics, power, and the cost of progress. The narrative is fast-paced and thought provoking, blending high stakes suspense with unsettling realism."

"Paul Corke’s Symposium is more than a sci-fi adventure it’s a reflection on identity, creation, and the consequences of innovation. Alan and AL’s journey kept me completely engaged. The concept of a symbiotic robot that looks and acts exactly like its creator is both eerie and fascinating. It’s one of those books that stays in your mind long after you’ve finished."

“Symposium is a gripping, fast-paced sci-fi thriller that feels uncomfortably close to our present moment. Once I started reading, I genuinely couldn’t put it down. The story of a symbiotic robot that looks and thinks like its creator taps directly into real questions around how quickly AI is advancing and how little control we may ultimately have."

"The world of Symbots, Synbots and Cyborgs is fascinating.

Give this book a read, you will not be disappointed."

"Just wow! In the race to find an Android. The world is changing fast and it's not really a good change. Kept me on the edge of my seat, from start to finish. I would like to read a sequel. Would read again."

"Symposium is set in a vivid 2050, it combines high-stakes action with big, thought-provoking ideas about identity, power, and humanity’s future. The chase is relentless, the concept is smart, and balances suspense with substance. It’s especially relevant for anyone thinking about where AI might be taking us."

"Gripping, fast-paced, and thought-provoking. *Symposium* masterfully blends high-stakes techno thriller action with deep questions about humanity, technology, and the consequences of our greatest inventions. The characters are compelling, the suspense relentless, and the world-building vivid. Fans of Crichton, Crouch, or Dick will find themselves completely immersed. A thrilling ride with substance."

"This book is a thrilling techno thriller that expertly weaves suspense with profound questions about the implications of our greatest invention, leaving readers on the edge of their seats. This fast-paced story not only captivates with action but also prompts deep reflection on the potential consequences of technological advancement."

"This book grabs you from page one and doesn’t let go. The writing is sharp, the pacing is perfect, and the world feels authentic and immersive. What stood out most to me is how Corke blends science, suspense, and philosophy into a story that feels like it could be tomorrow’s headline. A must-read for anyone who loves intelligent thrillers with a human heart."

"I couldn’t put this down! The chase scenes are intense, the dialogue is crisp, and the story keeps you guessing right up to the end. The balance between high-tech intrigue and emotional storytelling is spot-on. Symposium feels like the perfect blend of Westworld and Minority Report, but with a unique voice all its own."

"Symposium the future now! I didn't want to put it down"

“What I loved most about Symposium is how it blends action with big, important ideas. Beneath the suspense and fast-moving plot is a powerful exploration of technology, identity, and leadership in a changing world. The characters felt real, the stakes felt high, and the questions it asks about AI felt incredibly relevant. A great read for anyone who enjoys fiction that entertains and challenges in equal measure.”

"Symposium hooked me right from the start - it was my first techno-thriller and I really enjoyed it. The story moves at a good pace, mixing adventure, suspense, and some thought-provoking ideas about life and AI. The characters kept me intrigued throughout, and it definitely got me thinking about where technology might take us. A really engaging read that I’d happily recommend."

"Paul Corke has crafted a truly thought-provoking novel that blends futuristic technology, human emotion, and timeless wisdom. Symposium: The End of Tomorrow reads like a modern Plato’s dialogue reimagined through the lens of speculative fiction. It’s a bold, creative exploration of what the future might hold — both inspiring and unsettling in equal measure. One of the best new visionary novels I’ve read this year."

"Although Paul Corke is best known for his leadership and mindset books, Symposium shows he’s just as talented a storyteller. His understanding of human behaviour and psychology shines through every page, giving the thriller genre a rare emotional intelligence. I can’t wait to see what he writes next."

"Compelling characters and a brilliant concept. Alan and AL are fascinating characters, and the relationship between creator and creation is at the heart of what makes this book so engaging. I found myself rooting for them while also questioning who was really in control. The journey across the US, the constant pursuit, and the mystery behind AL’s quest kept me turning pages late into the night. A well-written, original, and very enjoyable thriller."

"Fast paced, action packed book that is in part philosophical. The humanoid robot symbiotic, Al, becomes curious about human and AI origins leading him to discover a top secret government facility that the government wishes to remain hidden. Teams of humans and robots oppose each other in a cat and mouse chase across continents into ever more fantastic science fiction scenarios. The book is entertaining but also is a warning."

"Hooked me from beginning to end. This was a fun sci-fi book that honestly makes you wonder if it could actually happen. It really makes you ask yourself bigger questions about AI, consciousness, and the cost of our own inventions."

"Symposium:The End of Tomorrow is a crazy non stop ride of intrigue, thrills and suspense! It’s a total nail biter, I couldn’t put it down. I had to keep reminding myself that AL was just a robot. I would definitely read a Symposium series!"

"I loved this true art of cat and mouse game , it kept me turning the pages consistently. Where robots meets humans and the clash they have against each other and then with the law kept my heart racing and for who to win in the end. Very upbeat and thrilling a sure to read more."

"Such a good read - This book had me captivated from start to finish!!"

"Loved this book written by Paul Corke , it takes you on a journey of questions. Where are we all heading into the future with ourselves ? How will we use or are going to use AI in our day to day lives ? Will we be able to harness such a technology with AI knowing everything we do on a day to day basis ? It makes you stop and think, keeps you hooked with action , twists and turns from start to finish. A glimpse into a possible future for the meaning of being human from such a talented writer. Great read recommend highly !!"
